Privacy Policy

In short

Who this policy covers

This policy is for The Answer Arena, a quiz game published on Google Play by Yarvix Studios. It explains what happens to information in connection with the app — both the parts we control directly, and the parts handled by Google's advertising services that run inside the app.

What the app itself collects

Nothing. The Answer Arena has no backend server, no analytics software development kit of its own, no user accounts, and no way to sign in. We — the developer — never receive, see, or store any information about you or your device. There is no database on our side because there is nothing for the app to send home to.

What stays on your device

The app saves a small amount of data using your device's local storage, purely so the game remembers your setup between sessions. None of it is transmitted anywhere — not to us, not to a server, not over the network at all.

Saved locallyWhy
Display name you type inShown back to you during play; never sent anywhere
Language, theme and sound preferencesSo the game opens the way you left it
Best score and games playedShown on the home screen as your personal record
Recently played questionsSo the same questions don't repeat right away

Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, removes all of it. We have no copy anywhere else, because none was ever made.

Advertising — Google AdMob

The app is free to play and earns revenue by showing ads through Google AdMob. AdMob is operated by Google, not by us, and it collects and processes some data independently in order to serve, personalise and measure those ads — for example an advertising identifier, general device information, and approximate location derived from your network connection. This happens under Google's own privacy policy, not ours, because we do not control or have access to what AdMob collects.

You can review and control how Google uses this data for ads in your Google account and in your Android device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads), including resetting or deleting your advertising identifier and opting out of personalised ads.

On-device translation

For a few languages, the app can ask your device's own built-in translation feature (provided by the Android system or your browser engine) to translate a question. Where this is available, it runs entirely on your device — we never see the text, and any language pack it downloads comes from Google's translation service directly to your device, not through us.

Permissions

The app requests internet access, used only to request and display ads and, where applicable, the on-device translation feature described above. It does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, files, or precise location.

Children's privacy

The Answer Arena is intended for a general audience aged 18 and over, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and — as explained above — we collect no information from anyone at all ourselves. A separate, ad-free edition for younger age groups is published on its own listing with its own policy.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
